Originally, I planned to visit a friend there, but they contracted COVID the day before I was due to fly. Despite the last-minute change, I decided to proceed with the trip solo, taking the opportunity to enjoy some "me" time. I quickly booked an Airbnb in the heart of the city — a recommendation from Ames, which turned out to be a budget-friendly choice albeit with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities(!). Though this reminded me of my student days and felt somewhat liberating, but I did question my decision at times...
