We are continuing our Summer of Psalms, and today we’re diving into one of our favorites—Psalm 33. If you want to start from the beginning, you can go back to our first post in June. Today, we reflect on Psalm 33, looking at its timeless truths and finding a moment to pause as we meditate on its meaning.

As we weave through life’s challenges, it can be easy to put our hope in tangible things—strategies, plans, and even people. But this scripture calls us to shift our trust toward God, acknowledging that He alone is our deliverer. This concept can be incredibly difficult, especially for us practical souls who like to plan and strategize. But life teaches us that relying on God is TRULY the only place that brings true peace.

We often talk about the importance of pausing—taking a step back to connect with God, especially during anxious moments. Psalm 33 echoes this need for reflection and trust. "Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help, and He is our shield."

As we wrap up, we encourage you to spend some time with Psalm 33 this week. Reflect on its truths, and let them bring you peace and encouragement. Remember, God’s counsel stands firm, His plans extend from generation to generation, and His loving-kindness is ever-present.
