How to make friends and podcast with people: The power of the podcast community.
Manage episode 371032938 series 3492759
It is undisputed that, in many forms, there is strength in numbers. That is also true in podcasting where building a community around your podcast can aid growth, provide support and even open the door to additional revenue.
In this edition Sound Business, we explore the idea of communities within and around podcasting. We will look at issues such as how to build a podcast community, what to do with it once you have and how to leverage them to their full potential.
This episode features three guests, all with a unique take on the role of "community" within podcasting, and all with first-hand experience of building, nurturing and using those groups that they have built.
Guest list:
Helen Zaltzman is a podcast producer and host with many years of experience. She produced the award-winning podcast "Answer Me This" for over 14 years and currently creates the brilliant language podcast The Allusionist. She is also the founder of the Podcasters Support Group, a network of podcast creators who come together on Facebook (and occasionally in person) to discuss ideas and share tips.
