In this two part story, my friend Jack, filmmaker and college film professor, shares his experience of being unexpectedly asked to direct the live broadcast of an event featuring the Dalai Lama, with a twist—the event is put on by the infamous NXIVM cult (yes, THAT one). On top of that, Jack finds himself in a trailer filled with millions of dollars' worth of equipment and no technical director. Undeterred, he teaches himself how to operate the equipment and directs the broadcast anyway—all the while NXIVM is lurking in the distance.

This is part 1 of a two part conversation! Part 2 is already live for my Patrons—so if you can't wait for next week, head on over to my Patreon and hear it today! (The rest of y'all will have to wait. 😉)
