We are joined today by author and women's intimacy coach, Rena Martine, talking about the ways shame holds us back from the sex, relationships, and lives we want to live and what to do about it. As a former sex crimes Deputy District Attorney, Rena comes at her work as an intimacy coach from a unique perspective. We discuss the ways that sexual shame and stigma can mutate into acts of violence and how seeing the darkest side of human sexuality burnt Rena out of her legal career. Her "aha" moment came during the pandemic when she changed careers and now coaches women on creating The Sex You Want (the title of her newly released book). Rena shares an exercise for getting to know your desires, one for tapping into your inner wisdom and we learn about Rena's first experience with a sex worker! Robin closes the episode with a "Healing Shit" segment - tapping into your inner crone with a crone goals exercise.
