Venus is in retrograde and there’s a lot of relationship talk in the air right now. So many people come to me asking about relationships and finding their soulmates and I think the focus should first be on the self. Before you can find who is meant for you, you have to first figure out who you are.

In this episode, Alison and I chat about all things relationships. We discuss soulmates vs. twin flames, how “soulmate” doesn’t always mean what you think it means, the energies we bring to the table in our relationships, and how to attract your ideal partner (it’s not what you think!). People often get in their own way when it comes to relationships and we can make it harder than it needs to be.

We want to hear from you! If you have feedback on this new series, please let us know. What questions do you have? What are you curious about? Send your thoughts or questions to meredythwillits@gmail.com.

What you’ll find in this episode:

The concept of a twin flame vs. a soulmate, and how these terms are defined

Think of a soulmate as more of a soul friend, and we can have many soulmates over the course of a lifetime

When trying to find your soulmate, you have to first examine yourself and figure out who you are

Focusing on the negative moments in our lives is a survival instinct, but we can reprogram our brains to recognize when something is actually safe vs. unsafe

Humans get so attached to relationships, instead of learning what we need to learn from the experience and moving on
