So why not walk to work?!?!? In 2004, “Prevention” magazine came up with Walk to Work Day and decided on the first Friday in April. Walking can be a great stress reliever. It not only works the muscles and increases heart rates, but also allows the senses to take in different environmental stimuli, from the gentle breeze and bird sounds to the smell of flowers in the air and a much-needed dose of vitamin D. If you’re working from home, you can celebrate the day by simply walking within the spaces of your home or taking a stroll around the block....or if you leave far from work and walking all the way there isn't an option...park farther away then normal and walk from there
