This week on WDDD, La Shaunda brings to light the chilling tale of Melvin Rees, infamously known as the Sex Beast (we hate that it kind of rhymes).
Traveling back to a seemingly safer and more trusting era in America, where doors remained unlocked, and strangers were assisted without a second thought, Melvin Rees exploited the trusting nature of the time. Over a period of two years in the late 1950s, Rees perpetrated at least 5 heinous murders in Virginia and Maryland. Among his victims was an unfortunate family in Virginia, who experienced unspeakable brutality.
The story unfolds when the family's abandoned car is discovered on the roadside, triggering a relentless search to find them. As investigators delve deeper into the case, they stumble upon what can only be described as a sinister sex dungeon, revealing even more grisly discoveries in its wake.
