As someone who struggles with procrastination, I know firsthand how easy it is to put things off until the last minute. On this episode I talk about four common reasons why people procrastinate:

  • Fear of failure: Sometimes, we put off a task because we're afraid we won't do it well, or we'll fail altogether. This fear can be paralyzing!
  • Lack of motivation: When we're not excited or invested in a task, it's easy to push it aside and prioritize other things.
  • Overwhelm: When a task feels too big or complex, it can be overwhelming. But delaying action can make the task seem even more daunting over time.
  • Perfectionism: If we hold ourselves to impossibly high standards, we may avoid starting a task. This can prevent you from making progress.

To help overcome these obstacles, I give you some useful tools that can help you get motivated and stay on track!

I talk about some time-management strategies such as setting specific goals, breaking down tasks, prioritizing, and creating a schedule.

Thanks again for listening!

Sharon
