In today’s interview I talk to video creator, writer, and author of the Paris in My Pocket guide, Jay Swanson.

Jay is an American living in Paris, and he is passionate about sharing his Paris journey and travel tips, helping others enjoy the city he has fallen in love with, through social media and Patreon.

His YouTube channel has 81k+ subscribers and offers helpful, uncommon advice for Paris travellers. He produced a daily vlog for 3+ years, totalling nearly 1,200 videos – and counting. On Instagram, he has been posting exciting photos of Paris and beyond for 11+ years.

In this episode, we discuss Jay’s unique quest to move to Paris – including turning up with a visa no one even knew existed – his recommendations for places to visit that are off the beaten-path, how to do Paris on a bit of a budget, moving to France as a digital nomad, and all kinds of Paris-related tips and treats. If you’re going to Paris, this is the guy you need to follow online!
