Does your desire to quit drinking, lose weight or start a new career feel unattainable?

The mistake most of us make when we want something to change is to focus on what we’re doing wrong. Because we think beating ourselves up will improve our willpower and follow-through.

And so we delay taking action because we’re waiting for the perfect time. And then we invest 110 percent of our energy to transform overnight. And when something goes wrong, we see the setback as proof that we’ll never get it right.

Unfortunately, this explains why our sincere attempts to break bad habits and set new goals often end in guilt, frustration and regret.

The problem is NOT that we’re inherently incapable of learning new skills. The problem is that we don’t see our problems as a lack of skill. We see them as innate character defects.

And the problem with that is you simply can’t outperform your beliefs about who you think you are. Your identity dictates your behavior. And your subconscious will eventually win.

My guest today is Mary Lou Rodriguez, a master hypnotherapist and brain training expert. She’s here to explain how to change who you think you are by learning to think differently. In this episode, you’ll learn:

👉🏼How Mary Lou overcame severe alcoholism with subconscious reprogramming

👉🏼How a “poverty mindset” can fuel addiction

👉🏼Action steps you can take NOW to start retraining your brain
