What do you do when your emotions don’t make sense–even to you?

Most of us do our best to stifle the urge to “freak out” or “go off” on other people. Because we either a) want to avoid the consequences or b) don’t want to look crazy. So we suffer in (the very loud) silence.

Unfortunately, most of us medicate the symptoms of emotional dysregulation with prescription drugs, alcohol, pot, food or all of the above. But blaming “irrational feelings” on hormones, brain chemistry or life stress only makes them stronger.

My guest today is Ann Hince…a professional speaker, author and spiritual teacher. Her recovery from trauma and subsequent emotional dysregulation began when a doctor introduced her to tapping (the emotional freedom technique EFT).

In this episode, we will explore the transformative power of tapping, a holistic technique that can liberate your body from painful emotions so you can finally experience a profound sense of peace in your mind.

Ann shares practical tools and insights that will help you build self-awareness and overcome your fear of your own inner darkness and unspoken truths.

This episode will deepen your understanding of why using willpower to control your behavior is not a substitute for emotional wellness. Learn why it’s so important to stop masking the symptoms of emotional dysregulation so that you can truly heal from emotional and physical trauma.

In Part 2 of this episode, you’ll learn:

👉🏼How your thinking mind traps emotions and how to get into your feeling mind

👉🏼Why distraction is your biggest block to emotional wellness

👉🏼How to train your brain to enjoy "trauma hunting"

👉🏼How tapping can support recovery from alcohol use disorder

In Part 1 (go to episode 86) of this episode, we discussed:

👉🏼How subconscious trauma causes emotional dysregulation

👉🏼Why suppressing your “dark thoughts” gives them power

👉🏼Why tapping with positive affirmations can have disappointing results

👉🏼How to customize a tapping solution that actually works for you
