Are you the victim of the all-or-nothing mindset when it comes to alcohol?

Every time you try and fail to drink less (or not at all), the belief that “I can’t do this” gets stronger.

But sometimes, you do get it right. And while that feels good, it’s also confusing and scary. Because you don’t know if the problem is real.

Having the occasional hangover is one thing. But normalizing blackouts, brain fog and hangxiety is not a BOSS move.

And so at some point, out of fear, shame and the exhaustion that comes from beating your head against a bottle, many of us end up doing what we swore we’d never do…ask for help.

If you’ve ever googled “sober curious” or “alcohol-free lifestyle,” you know there’s a lot of help out there. And the upfront messaging is inviting. You no longer have to identify as an alcoholic or quit drinking forever!

But is living as a "non-drinker with a zero-tolerance for poison" all that different?

My guest is Camille Kinzler, a fellow sobriety coach and friend I met at SheRecovers. You’re about to hear an unedited conversation about our experiences in the sober community. We discuss:

  • How and why our opinions have changed about the all-or-nothing approach to sobriety

  • Why your desire to drink changes naturally when you focus on following your dharma

  • Our personal evolutions from over-drinkers to non-drinkers to women who completely trust themselves to make good decisions when it comes to alcohol
