In this episode…

Cyber threats are a growing concern for individuals and businesses. Cybercriminals are constantly developing new ways to exploit vulnerabilities in computer systems and networks. Although the dark web is not new, it has become an increasingly popular platform for cyberpunks to buy and sell stolen passwords and identities. So how can you protect yourself from becoming a victim of cybercrime?

One method for protecting yourself is self-awareness. Use caution when sharing information online, be wary of phishing scams, use a firewall and antivirus software, and be aware of the latest cyber threats. Matthew Connor, a cybersecurity expert, also recommends using strong passwords. A common mistake often made is reusing the same password for several accounts, which makes it easy for hackers to access people’s accounts. If your concern is forgetting your password, consider using a password manager such as Keeper Security.

In this episode of The Cyber Business Podcast, Matthew Connor welcomes Dr. Jeremy Weisz of Rise25 to discuss the dark web. Matthew shares CyberLynx’s mission, best practices for safekeeping passwords and email accounts, and demonstrates a dark web scan.
