Mental Health Resources:
If you or someone you know need support and resources related to mental health issues, here are some places that can help:
o If it is an emergency, call 911 immediately.
o In cases where someone feels suicidal, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline can be reached by calling or texting 988. They provide 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources, and best practices for professionals in the United States.
o You also can text the word HOME to the Crisis Text Line at 741741 from anywhere in the United States, anytime. A trained Crisis Counselor receives the text and responds, all from a secure online platform.
o Consult with your healthcare provider, because sometimes an underlying physical condition could be causing or exacerbating mental health issues.
o The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration’s National Helpline is a free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service (in English and Spanish) for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders.
