#42: Holiday Blues

During this holiday season, remember that God is such a great God. He can help us during the time of holiday blues. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has great tips for avoiding the holiday blues. Some examples include sticking to a normal routine as much as possible, getting enough sleep, and exercising – even a short walk.
In addition to these tips, know that you should pause and have quiet time with God. God knows about happiness and blues. When we are mentally healthy, we enjoy life, love our families, and love ourselves. Have a merry heart, for it is medicine to the soul.
