About Sylvia Barrett

Sylvia was born in Germany and has lived worldwide but chose Galveston as her home. After bartending for nearly 10 years, she decided to finish her real estate classes, which she started in 1996 in Texas. Now, she is enjoying her 5th year as a REALTOR® at Galveston Island Real Estate and is taking classes to become a broker. Besides working as a REALTOR®, she is on the Galveston Association of REALTORS® MLS Board and is in the process of writing a screenplay. She is also involved in the community through the Community Emergency Response Team and the Galveston Citizens Police Alumni Association as Sergeant at Arms.
