Hey there, butthole breathers! Let’s become joy enthusiasts and pain detectives. Yep, we are talking the joy factor, you know that warm, fuzzy feeling in your heart. Are you constantly in pain, feeling broken down, or like everything hurts?

First things first, Happy Valentine's Day!

Sorry, not sorry, I missed you last week, I took a break to practice what I preach about mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Birthdays are my jam, so I gifted myself less stress and work.

It's okay to hit pause and celebrate your wins, right?

We have to take that time, as when we are go-go-go and push our bodies to their limits, even our best efforts to heal our pain and injuries will not be successful. We have to pause and find ways to bring joy into our lives.

It’s not all work, no play.

Speaking of joy, I had a client who, after tweaking some lifestyle elements, went from years of no joy to experiencing it. It's about altering daily habits, from diet to getting outside, and it worked wonders on his nervous system and pain levels.

Stress, oh stress! Ever wondered about extreme stress responses? I dry heave and puke, yes, it's a thing. Others get constipated, and some want to eat their stress away. We're all unique in how we handle it. And guess what?

Stress kills joy.

Cortisol messes with our pleasure centers, making it hard to feel that heightened joy.

But fear not! To truly experience joy, you have to embrace a bit of discomfort. It's not about a quick fix; it's about putting in the work. That magical joy pill? Nope, not a thing. Hard work is the key to long-lasting joy.

Train your nervous system to feel safe, and slowly work your way up to joy. Try the 30-second reset—put your phone away, sip coffee, and think of gratitude. It's like a daily dose of joy vitamins!

So, on this Valentine's Day, let's commit to less pain, less stress, and more joy. You deserve it, and I'm here to guide you through it. Tutu Lou, and may your days be filled with joy!
