Fortune Magazine lead with a headline line from Imagination Land, saying "Americans are taxed $60 BILLION in real estate commissions." WHAT?!?! First off only government bodies can levy a tax. Secondly the stories of the death of commissions are greatly exaggerated. Want proof? Homeowners who already DON’T have to pay commissions.... still pay buyer’s agent commissions.
