Menopausal changes can leave people feeling insecure and vulnerable, especially if they feel like they're no longer able to meet societal expectations, which include youth and beauty. So understandably, being vulnerable can be incredibly difficult. No one wants to expose themselves to the possibility of emotional harm due to the negative narrative and lack of understanding passed down.

Everyone's menopausal experience is unique but we can learn a lot from one another. In this episode, non-profit executive and social justice/human rights advocate Sonya Shields supersede shame and taboo, gets vulnerable about her menopause journey and shares some of the self-care rituals she uses to thrive through this transition. So if you ever felt like you're alone in your experience, or that you're not being supported, this episode is for you. Pull up and listen in to this chat with my dear friend Sonya Shields.
