Today is the first of a series of episodes I’m doing with The Black Sex Worker Collective to promote their upcoming fundraiser next month. On July 22nd, the collective will host a 22-hour event called Who’s Allowed To Make Money? Workers In Solidarity. It is both a celebration and grassroots fundraising campaign to support sex workers and other freelance artists directly impacted by current circumstances, who are all too often Black, and people of color.
This collaboration is but one of the many ways the SEX COMMUNICATION Podcast, and GRAPHICPAINT, are offering support to the Black community and sex workers everywhere — I encourage you to do the same. If you are a listener of this show, you know that the goal is to destroy the stigmatization around sex through honest exploration of its reality. Sex work is necessary, useful, and deserves as much discussion, respect and exploration as any other topic.

In today’s episode, I speak with Dan of Kinky in Wonderland, who will be hosting an online Introduction to Bondage during the July 22nd event. Dan is also based in Berlin and we discuss his experiences with sex-based work, kink, discrimination and activism.
