Happy Hump Day everyone, and Happy Sex on the Peach day. Today’s episode is all about how social media can affect our sex lives and relationships. I know that people like to brush it off as “just social media” but the fact of the matter is, it is a HUGE part of our lives now - one that people spend more time partaking in than eating and sometimes even sleeping. It’s not a small thing, it is affecting people’s self-esteem, it is affecting people’s ability to connect with other people in real-life social settings, and it IS affecting both our sex lives and relationships. Social media addiction is on the rise, with people struggling to prioritise their own partners and friends over people they don’t even know who exist purely through a mobile phone screen. Today we’re going to take a very HONEST look at the effects of social media, the unrealistic expectations it puts on people in both sex and relationships, and discuss the reality that it is now actually a worthy conversation to have with your partner in order to better understand their social media behaviours, and to set boundaries within your relationships. I will also as always be answering some of your questions.
Sex On The Peach is a completely inclusive, open, judgement free zone. However you identify - both in your gender and sexuality, whatever race, age, size, ability, religion you are - everyone is welcome here, and I hope that at some point in an episode we will touch on something you can relate to and resonate with.
