Sean catches up with Brandy Lynch from the University of Central Missouri to chat about Women’s Social Justice in Sport. This is the final episode of our first EDI series, What is Social Justice?.

Brandy Lynch is an assistant professor in the School of Teaching and Learning at the University of Central Missouri (UCM). She specializes in the application of technology in instruction and the analysis of effective teaching. She earned her Ph.D. in sport and exercise science from the University of Northern Colorado and began her career at UCM in 2017. Her research has primarily focused on pre-service physical education teachers.

Lynch currently serves on SHAPE America’s EDI Committee. She is also a member of MOSHAPE’s EDI Committee and chair of the Future Directions Committee on the MOSHAPE Board of Directors. Motivated by her EDI experiences, she has received two Kansas City Teacher Education Collaborative (KC-TEC) Course Development grants to promote culturally informed and responsive teacher candidates who are prepared for employment in urban settings.
