There is a weakness in men and women that causes them to prioritize pleasure over God and become dangerously immersed in the dating game; searching for a relationship to fulfill their deep longing for love, companionship, and possibly marriage. There is a weakness in male and female that causes each one to run at the first sight of adversity because they don't believe the Word of God is powerful enough to win the fight. There is a weakness in husband and wife that convinces them to give up on their marriage before inquiring of the Lord. These are just a few consequences of spiritual famine. Without the Word of God to direct our decisions, behavior and attitudes, we will be up the creek without a paddle.
But all is not lost. There is a solution. In this episode, I will share my own personal story of spiritual famine and give practical recommendations to go from spiritual famine to harvest.
Amos 8:11-12: “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God, "That I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. 12 They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east. They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, But shall not find it."
