It's Pruning Season - Cut Those Dead Ends!
Manage episode 282479401 series 2857443
Every so often it is advised that we get the ends of our hair trimmed. They call these our dead or split ends. Although getting them cut requires losing a bit of length, it also accelerates the growth of new healthy hair. If you don’t get your ends trimmed, you risk the hair strands splitting all the way up to the root and breaking off. It’s important that we cut off what’s dead in order to produce what’s new and strong. In the same way, God wants to prune your character and cut out the unnecessary stuff that's hindering your spiritual growth so that you can bear more fruit in your life than you could ever ask for or imagine.
SCRIPTURE: John 15:1-2: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
