Episode 4: Edwards speaks about challenges facing Houston City Council as well as how she made the decision to run for public office. She shares that there is "no shame in my game" when it comes to fundraising and how she approaches this necessary task that most candidates dread. She recalls a moment on the campaign trail when one male opponent said that the city council race 'wasn't a beauty contest' and how she handled this offensive remark.
Edwards also advises women not to run for public office just because they are mad about something. They need to run because they are passionate about an issue and their community.
