Reet Aus is a PhD-qualified fashion designer, environmental activist, and a natural rebel who founded REET AUS COLLECTION® and THE UPSHIRT®. She is a pioneer in the field of industrial upcycling for fashion, and has developed the UPMADE® certification, in order to pass on her knowledge to brands and factories. Reet also has had the distinction to dress Estonia’s President, Kersti Kaljulaid.

The documentary “Out of Fashion” follows Reet's journey from Tallinn, through the fashion stages of Europe and the cotton plantations of South America, and right into the epicentre of mass production in Bangladesh, in an attempt to effect real change to benefit everyone. She attempts to track the purchase of a pair of ZARA jeans from Tallinn back to its source in Bangladesh.

This is a very inspiring story from start to finish! Beware, you may become a more conscious fashion consumer after hearing her stories.
