An exposition on a Telugu poem 'Krushivaludu ' (1919) wtitten by Duvvuri Ramireddi. The poem is perhaps the first of its kind in modern Indian poetry where the peasant and his daily routine were the theme and where the poet in the line of great tradition of the bucolic poets such as Theocritus, Virgil, vyasa, Leelasuka, Jayadeva and Andal celebrates the pleasures and pains of the agricultural life.
