Coming off our June 24th show, there was a lot of feedback about the controller / pilot relationship. Or more appropriately, it's about the partnership. Please join us as we welcome DeShondra Strickland to the show. DeShondra is an air traffic specialist in the Chicago Executive (KPWK) control tower. She was somewhat anxious to arrive at KPWK as the only female controller in the cab, but soon found the "guys" to be like family. Listen in to hear her perspective on the challenges of working traffic at one of the busiest airports in Illinois and why there aren't more women in the tower. Aviation is struggling to find the next generation of pilots, controllers, etc. and the female population is an untapped source of resources. So listen and learn from the ATC side of the "house". =============== We hope you enjoy listening as much as we love talking to others who share our passion for aviation. Please subscribe to the Podcast via iTunes or your favorite broadcast source, and rate, review, and let us know what you think! BLUE SKIES and TAILWINDS!!!
