This week marks part II of the Snowpocalypse Chronicles, with Doctor Delirious serving up personal youthful experiences surrounding the 1966 number one hit by the Monkees, "I'm a Believer." Possibly the world's first manufactured boy band, The Monkees were created to fill the roles of fictional characters on a concept TV show. The result was a slew of real records that the actors claimed they had little to do with musically. However, their managers maintained that the Monkees were indeed a real band, creating confusion and mockery among the press and fans. Did the Monkees play their own instruments? Why is Davey Jones so stressed out? How many members of a band need to be included in a reunion tour in order to use the original band name? All these questions and more will be answered on this week's episode of Single File.
