This week our old pal Johnny Grundo returns to the Cabana as together we cover the 1988 hit "Kokomo" by The Beach Boys from the soundtrack to the movie Cocktail. With a record-breaking 22 year span between number one hits, this upbeat nod to tropical paradise concealed a dark period in the bands career. Despite the recent death of Dennis Wilson, inner turmoil, legal disputes, and the mysterious absence of Brian Wilson, the band spawned a hit so huge, John Stamos joined the band. Where was Brian Wilson anyways? Why does Tom Cruise have such a hard time remembering the ingredients to a simple white wine? Who was watching Michelle while Uncle Jesse was playing the bongos? All these questions and more will be answered on this week's episode of Single File.
