The process of healing and changing is hard work. As we work hard to shift our mindset and heal our heart, we have to take control of the negative reactions and responses we give to the people and situations around us. It is to be moved by what someone else does or says, but it takes work to have a conversation with ourselves and say, "I'm not going there, that's not concern, that's not moving me forward." In doing so you are checking yourself instead of casting the blame on the next person. This takes you out of the victim space and puts you back in control of YOU.
