In this episode, we explore how the common relationship strategies of people pleasing and domination actually wind up facilitating fascism.

"The answer to escaping the self sacrifice - dominance paradigm is to stop playing this game entirely and to focus inward on what you actually want."

I've been in private practice since 2016, and in that time, I've observed a pattern of two common approaches people take to relationships. Most of my clients are people who are trying to please others in order to get what they want.

They might be single and frustrated because they're not finding the right relationships, or they might be in relationships where they're being treated poorly.

Then there's another group of clients who are trying to dominate others in order to get what they want. They might be successful in getting into relationships, but they're anxious and doubtful about their partner's attraction to them.

Both of these groups of people are actually quite similar in that they're both trying to control others to get what they want, and in the process, they're both missing on the opportunity for authentic connection.

In this episode, you will learn:

1. What people pleasing and domineering approaches to relationships look like

2. How people pleasing and domineering behaviors can facilitate fascism

3. How shifting to a strategy of collaboration, based on sharing and hearing true desires, can change your life and the world for the better
