What? Who would plan for a divorce if they’re not planning on divorcing their spouse?

Here’s the thing, divorce doesn’t typically happen out of thin air. It’s a build-up over years of feeling like something might be wrong in the marriage or not working quite as it should be. And knowledge is power. Cliché, but true.

So whether something is just feeling off, you’re considering divorce or you’ve decided to go through with a divorce, it’s a good idea to meet with a lawyer to understand how current issues in your marriage would be addressed in court. Doing this allows you to make informed decisions for yourself and your children in the current state of your marriage.

Listen to Elizabeth Lindsey, attorney and shareholder at Davis, Matthews & Quigley, P.C., as she shares advice on what women should do leading up to or going through a divorce.
