In 1985 Bob Guccione Jr. launched an alternative music magazine- SPIN- going up against Rolling Stone, commercial radio and the music establishment itself. Focusing on alternative genres and artists, SPIN quickly became an important cultural influencer and played a key role in discovering and launching countless artists.
