Cara Kaltenbrun; a grade 11 scholar in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa; shares her thoughts on the single-use plastics polluting our planet.
She has decided to launch a business, SIP, in an attempt to join the global assault on the single-use plastic straw. She is offering a glass straw as an alternative.
Her concern for the environment is evident by the way she speaks about the plastic pollution problem facing the world.
It is with action taken, such as is being taken by Cara, that global awareness of the problem will be heightened. The SIP straw, made of borosilicate glass, is extremely durable, making it suitable for all ages. It is the ideal replacement for the plastic straw.
