Dr. Zach, as he likes to be called, was a practicing eye doctor and then was a healthcare venture capitalist for 30 years starting and helping over 20 early stage companies to grow and develop. His portfolio included, medical devices, biotech, pharmaceutical, and service companies. He even started an insurance company and was the key architect for the Healthcare Savings Accounts, more commonly known as the HSAs. Dr. Zach’s spiritual journey started when he had an awakening while going to college and since then he has been on a spiritual quest to help people find their true selves and to achieve a state of enlightenment. It is interesting that he is now focusing most of his attention on the workplace because of the tremendous impact meditation can have in creating a more vibrant and effective corporate spirit. To address that challenge, Dr. Zach has created a mindfulness program called the HappCo Mindfulness Journey which is available on an app and it is comprised of 400 meditations totaling 150 hours and he claims that people who have taken that journey have experienced enlightenment.
