On Episode Nine I sat down with Christopher Wilson, Clinical Director of Dine Monte Nido, a unique outpatient program designed to help those suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. One day, while shopping for his eight-year-old daughter, he became furious because all of the labels on the jeans read, "super skinny." Clothing retailers are contributing to the mental health decline of our youth. Recent research shows that:
The answer lies in education because we originally became educated about eating disorders from the media after Karen Carpenter's famous case. On an advocacy level, when you see something that you don't like, such as in Chris's case, cause a riot! Contact the clothing companies, start a petition, get involved with legislation and create the changes that you want to see.

- 47% of girls in 5th-12th grade reported wanting to lose weight because of magazine pictures.69% of girls in 5th-12th grade reported that magazine pictures influenced their idea of a perfect body shape.42% of 1st-3rd grade girls want to be thinner.81% of 10 year olds are afraid of being fat.
