Lymphoedema, the swelling of a part of the body due to a problem with the lymphatic system, is reported to affect about 6 people in 1000, depending on age. In this episode of the Sports Therapy Association Podcast, special guest Jane Wigg, internationally acclaimed as being one of the leading lights in Lymphoedema treatment development, research and education, discusses the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the lymphatic system, and how you as a manual therapist can recognise and treat lymphoedema and chronic swelling.
