“Meditation should not be regarded as a learning process. It should be regarded as an experiencing process.

Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Welcome to the 12th instalment of the State Shifters Podcast.

In this episode I cover meditation.

Over the past three years meditation has been a big part of my life, and over the last year, I have delved deeper into the world of meditation, mindfulness, and energy healing. After I left my corporate job back home in Perth, Western Australia and moved to Toronto, Canada I wanted to find a job that aligned with my passions for health, wellness, mindfulness and healing.

Through perseverance, and trust in higher guidance, my dream job manifested two months after my move to Canada, the company is called Soul7, and our mission is to help people optimize their innate ability to self-heal.

My new job has enabled me to immerse in the field of energy healing through advanced frequency technology that truly is the future of alternative medicine. My role for the first 6 months was helping people access deep states of meditation through sound, light and vibration technology that leverages the benefits of brainwave optimization.

I got to engage with people across a diverse range of backgrounds as they came into the clinic to try this unique form of meditation.

I got to discuss with clients the struggles they had during their meditation practice. I realized not everyone finds meditation easy, in fact, meditation is a real struggle for most people.

During this time, I was advancing in my own practice, experimenting with 2 hours of vipassana meditation each day combined with experimentation with brainwave optimization technology.

I wanted other people to access these amazing inner, and outer transformations meditation was giving me.

For most people, as I have learned – the main stumbling block is silencing the mind. I wanted to find a way to help people turn down the mental noise so that they could connect with the awareness behind the mind.

I began looking into brainwave patterns and how they affected the mental and emotional states. The goal of meditation is to Get past the conscious mind and connect with the subconscious, through slowing down brain wave patterns, the analytical mind can be shut off.

This is where you start to see the profound, restorative benefits of meditation.

To learn how to silence the mind and tap into the subconscious, you must understand the role your brainwave state has on your ability to tap into altered states of consciousness.

If you have trouble silencing your mind and want to learn more about how to control your brainwave activity during meditation; I have made a FREE guide that includes tips and information to help you deepen your meditation practice.

In the guide, I reveal 5 meditation tips to help you get past the conscious, analytical mind and unfold deeper into the depths of the subconscious.
