Matt Jones, a stepdad of one and father of two, will discuss how he believes that embracing your parenting experiences can help you become a better person. He’ll discuss how he grew into his role of stepdad, learned from role models in his life and developed a relationship with his stepson. Finally, Matt will share his thoughts on being grateful for what he has been given—even when he didn’t expect it. POINT #1: Trying Too Hard Doesn’t Work * As Matt adapted to his role as stepdad, he was encountering some resistance from his stepson due to pressure from extended family members.
