In today's episode we’ll discuss young love and how, even at an early age, parents have an opportunity to teach values about relationships. We’ll talk about the importance of modeling positive behaviors in your own relationship—and in all areas of your life. Finally, we’ll discuss how strong values learned at a young age can help your children grow up to be great adults. POINT #1: Children Learn Relationship Values from You Children mimic their parents every day and behave the same way their parents behave in relationships. Teaching kids to show gratitude and appreciation for others at a young age will help them to continue to do so as an adult. Being able to show gratitude, love and appreciation will help your kids to have healthy adult relationships. POINT #2: Be Open about Relationships Kids will experience “young love” sooner or later and they will probably have questions. Encouraging your children to share and ask questions about relationships will give you an opportunity to teach them positive values. Although children can sometimes be embarrassed to talk about relationships, having a “no secrets” family policy can help to create a productive dialogue. POINT #3: Check in with Your Core 4 Because we are passing our values onto our children, we must make sure we are meeting or exceeding our standards across our Core 4. Little moments, such as our kids experiencing “young love,” can serve as great reminders about the importance of modeling positive behaviors. QUESTION OF THE DAY: Who are you leading and what behaviors are you modeling? CHALLENGE OF THE DAY: Check in with your Core 4 and make sure you are meeting or exceeding your standards across all areas of your life. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Be the role model you needed when you were younger." – Unknown BECOME A 4 DIMENSIONAL MAN - APPLY TODAY Discover The ART & SCIENCE Behind Accessing your Best BODY, a Booming Business and Balanced Relationships...While Living The Life You WANT!
