An inventor aiming to revolutionize cosmetics with her intelligent nanoparticle mechanisms, revises and refines her invention to serve a greater purpose. Genre: Science Fiction

Excerpt: Kaira explained how it worked. Her nanoparticles were simple mechanisms that responded to commands transmitted from a voice-activated processing patch attached to her skin, just below her throat. She called them nanoparticle mechanisms or NPMS. They were simple, but not identical. The ones that coated her hair were designed to expand and contract, turn opaque, and reflect light of certain wavelengths. But the ones coating her face were designed to remain translucent, to cluster in different concentrations so as to conceal when needed, and to turn sheer when wanted.

Episode Art Description: Digital drawing. A woman seen from waist up, facing and looking forward. She has wavy shoulder length hair and wears dark turquoise makeup. She holds a canister up to the side with her right hand and touches the bottom of the canister with her left. Three red letters are visible on a white label at the bottom edge of the dark metal canister. The letters read “EMP.” Flames erupt behind her, framing her. Smoke surrounds the flames. Just visible across her shirt is a light shadow or silhouette of a car with one door open. Top and bottom borders reflecting select elements of the central image are added to make the format square. Watermark of “Storyfeather” along her left upper arm.
