Elliott is the co-founder and publisher of "Capitalist Times," a research firm and newsletter publisher on several subjects, with the flagship newsletter and focus being "The Energy & Income Investing" newsletter. He focuses on all things energy, with particular focus on income investing in this industry. He discusses how the energy sector has changed and is changing, due primarily to technology (i.e. fracking). The rising power of short cycle oil producers has driven down the price of oil with efficiency gains and other technological improvements. Going from a culture of scarcity to a culture of excess for oil and natural gas, the changes in the industry, and by consequence investing in that sector, is creating paradigm shifts for producers, service companies and investors. He discusses the opportunities for investors in this sector moving forward and opportunities in the MLP space. Investors won't want to miss this interview.
