This film is based on Alice Walker's 1982 novel, is directed by Steven Spielberg, and features performances from the amazing Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, & Danny Glover. It's a tale of women overcoming obstacles and supporting each other through trying times in the early 1900s.
