What's up my film geeks! This week on your favorite movie podcast we've got another exciting episode in store for you! This time we've got not one but two special guests sitting in with us as we go over a bit of light news and then we get into our weekly movie review. As we continue our cerebral Sci-Fi theme this month it's Jeremy's turn up to bat with his pick of 2009's Moon starring Sam Rockwell and directed by Duncan Jones.

This is another film in the vein of a long line of thinking man's science fiction films (not unlike the previous two films we've done this month) Are you getting the sense of a pattern here? I hope so! Because after this week we've still got one more film in store to make you really ponder your place in the cosmos!

Moon is a fairly straight forward story to behold set on a lunar mining base where the only personnel to speak of is astronaut Sam Bell (with a fantastic performance by Sam Rockwell) and his A.I. companion GERTY (voiced by Kevin Spacey). Sam has come to the end of his three year contract of duty and will soon head home to earth to join his family but what soon follows him is a whirlwind of hallucinations, doppelgangers and mystery which often leads you to question quite a few things in the process.

This is a great flick for sure so stick around for the show and join us as we pick it apart through all its ins and outs and ups and downs and discuss the deeper meanings held in the various messages this film instills on its audience. I'll leave you with this one last thought.

The moon is the last place you'd ever expect to find yourself.
