Hey there, surfer dudes and beach babes! Ready to catch some gnarly waves? Well, here's the scoop on the surf zone forecast for our favorite spots along the coast.
Starting off with Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches, we've got a Beach Hazards Statement in effect from 3 PM this afternoon through 9 PM Sunday. Watch out for those high rip currents, especially as the surf height ranges from 2 to 5 feet today, with some local sets reaching up to 6 feet on west-facing beaches. Saturday looks promising too with surf heights between 3 to 6 feet. So wax those boards and get ready to ride those mixed swells!
Ventura County Beaches are also under a Beach Hazards Statement with similar conditions to Malibu, so be prepared for those 3 to 6 feet waves today, possibly increasing to 4 to 6 feet on Saturday. And remember, when it comes to rip currents, it's better to be safe than sorry!
Heading over to Santa Barbara County, we've got a moderate rip current risk today along with 2 to 5 feet surf heights. Keep an eye out for those mixed swells as you hit the waves. Saturday is looking good too with surf heights ranging between 2 to 5 feet. Perfect for a fun day out on the water!
And last but not least, San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches are rocking some big waves today. Expect 5 to 8 feet surf heights, so it's time to show off your skills. Tomorrow, the surf height may vary between 3 to 9 feet for northwest facing beaches and 3 to 6 feet for southwest facing beaches. Get out there and enjoy the west swells!
Remember, always be mindful of the rip currents and stay safe while you're out there riding the waves. This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a Swell! Thank you for listening.
