Starting off in Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches, we're looking at a moderate rip current risk today with surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. No thunderstorms expected, but keep an eye on those tides with lows and highs throughout the day. Water temperatures hitting 60 to 70 degrees, and we've got a mix of south and west swells coming your way.
Ventura County Beaches are also seeing a moderate rip current risk today, with similar surf heights and no thunderstorms on the horizon. Water temperatures will be chillier at 56 to 65 degrees, and you can expect a blend of west and south swells to ride on. Plus, tides shifting throughout the day for some great beach vibes!
In Santa Barbara County, the southwestern and southeastern coasts are in for a low rip current risk, with surf heights at 1 to 3 feet. While there are no thunderstorms expected, there's a slight chance on Sunday. Water temperatures ranging from 57 to 58 degrees and a consistent west swell to enjoy. Keep an eye on those tides for the perfect surfing conditions!
Moving north to San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, you can expect waves ranging from 3 to 5 feet today and 2 to 4 feet on Sunday. The water will be cooler at 53 to 54 degrees, and no thunderstorms are expected. Tides will be shifting throughout the day, so make sure to plan your surf sessions accordingly with a mix of west and south swells in the mix.
So whether you're hitting up Malibu, cruising in Ventura, or riding the waves in Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo, there's plenty of surf action to look forward to. Just keep an eye on those rip current risks and tides, and you'll be set for an epic beach day!
