Hey there, surfers and beachgoers! It's time for your surf zone forecast, brought to you by the National Weather Service Los Angeles/Oxnard.
Let's dive into what's happening on the Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches today. We've got a moderate risk of rip currents, with surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. No thunderstorms are expected, and the water temperature is between 57 to 72 degrees. Keep an eye on the tides - we've got a mix of south and west swell coming your way.
Moving on to Ventura County Beaches, we're looking at a similar setup - moderate rip current risk, 2 to 4 feet surf heights, and water temperatures of 60 to 63 degrees. Don't forget to check the tides as you catch some waves with that west swell rolling in.
Meanwhile, over at Santa Barbara County, the rip current risk is low today, with surf heights between 1 to 3 feet. Enjoy the west swell and the water temperature ranging from 61 to 63 degrees. It's looking like a nice day to be out in the water!
And for those hitting up San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, get ready for some fun with 3 to 5 feet of surf height. The water temperature is cooler at 55 to 57 degrees, but hey, that won't stop the die-hard surfers. Look out for a mix of west and south swell today.
So, get your boards ready, sunscreen on, and enjoy the waves out there. Remember always to stay safe and watch out for those rip currents. This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a Swell! Thank you for listening.
