Hey there, surfers and beachgoers! Ready to catch some waves and soak up the sun? Let's dive into the surf zone forecast for the California coast.
Starting off in Malibu and Los Angeles, we're looking at a moderate rip current risk today with surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. No thunderstorms on the horizon, water temperatures between 66 to 75 degrees, and some mixed south and west swells rolling in. It's going to be a great day to hit the waves!
Moving on to Ventura County, we've got a similar story with a moderate rip current risk, 2 to 4 feet of surf, and some mixed south and west swells. Water temps are a bit cooler at 66 to 69 degrees, but still perfect for a refreshing dip.
Heading up to Santa Barbara, the southwestern and southeastern coasts are looking at low rip current risks today, with smaller surf heights of 1 to 3 feet. West swells are in play, so it might be a bit mellower out there but still a nice day to be in the water.
And last but not least, San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches are seeing surf heights of 3 to 5 feet today, with some mixed west and south swells. Water temps are cooler between 53 to 55 degrees, so wetsuits are recommended!
Overall, it's a good day for surfing along the coast of California. Remember to stay safe, watch out for rip currents, and have a blast out there! This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a Swell! Thank you for listening.
